I guess tapering has officially begun or so I'm told by my fellow runners. I really don't have an exact plan for the next two weeks other than dialing back on the mileage and the intensity of my training. I did a slow 8.5 miles today with my buddy Mike Mulligan, who's visiting from Ireland for work related activities and just like during his last visit, we managed to get a run in.
The temperatures here in Florida were in the 80s, which is what I'd expect the temperatures to be like in Nicaragua next week. The humidity level was very similar as well and I was not used to that. It's "winter" in Alabama right now with temperatures fluctuating between 32 and 60 degrees with very low humidity. Hopefully, a couple more runs in these conditions will at least reintroduce me to this climate before traveling to Nicaragua next week.
