Last or second to last taper/recovery run before my Double Top 100 Mile attempt this weekend. I am excited and feel as ready as I've ever been for a 100 mile race, but the weather gives me some worry. Rain and temps in the low 30s overnight and low 60s during the day are predicted for Saturday. I will start my logistics planning (drop bags, pace charts, picking up last minute items, etc.) tonight.
Richard and I went for a slow and easy Dizzy Fifties North Loop 4 miler this morning on top of Monte Sano mountain. I think I prefer the hot and humid conditions of Nicaragua a week ago over this type of weather of low 40s. However, by the time we finished our run, the sun had risen and there was no cloud in the sky. I was pretty nice, actually.
