I managed to squeeze in a lunchtime run today. While I couldn't convince anyone else to join me, I stuck to my plan to at least get some miles in today. The weather was just too perfect not to get out there. Not a cloud in the sky and temperatures above 50, how could I not take that invitation to run, especially considering my last two runs with temperatures well below freezing.
I managed to keep the pace somewhat steady and easy, running 8 miles at just under 8 minute per mile pace. I kept thinking about the 100K race next month and how to best prepare, should I start wearing a loaded pack for extra weight? Should I only do uphill running? Can I even get ready? At the end, I decided to take my training one day at a time and to not worry about the actual race, but to think of it as an adventure only, which it clearly will be;-)
