Second recovery run day. I logged 8 miles at a slow 8:30 minute per mile pace with Rich running the UAH figure 8 loop a couple of times this morning. It has been perfect running weather the last couple of days with temperatures in the high 40s to low 50s.
We eased into a steady pace after the initial warm up mile and I had no problems until the final 2-3 miles. My right heel (the foot with the ankle injury) started dragging a bit while running and I started to feel some minor pain on top of my quad and hamstring as well as the sciatic nerve. It's probably a combination effect of the road marathon Saturday and the ankle injury itself. I'm sure a days rest tomorrow will fix me right up for back to back long runs on Friday and Saturday;-)
